Aaron’s life with glasses 

Before his LASIK surgery, Aaron, who loves high-contact sports, was limited to activities that wouldn’t knock his glasses off his head!

On the day of the surgery, Aaron received mild sedation to calm his nerves. Dr. Assil applied eye drops to numb Aaron’s eyes and then used an eyelid blink protector to keep his eyes open and steady.

The procedure, using a laser with customized algorithms created by Dr. Assil, was pre-programmed with precise measurements of Aaron’s eyes. After reshaping the cornea (about 30 seconds per eye), Dr. Assil folded the flap back down, sealing it into position.
