The medical care was excellent. The medical staff and the specialist were great. However, my experience with the front desk was confusing. I was asked to pay my deductible as a prepayment, and I paid $150 up front on the day of my visit. When I later called my insurance, they explained that I had already met my deductible and should not have been charged. I plan to speak with the Assil Gaur Eye Institute front desk at my next visit to get this billing issue resolved.

Wait times for appointments are much too long. When you arrive on-time and wait for anything more than 10 or 15 minutes, it is unacceptable.

I first walked in to the Assil Eye Institute at age 35 and through a very long and storied relationship with these peepers, I trust my eyes ONLY to Dr. Assil my ophthalmologist, Dr. May my optometrist or one of the docs in the team if Dr. May is getting much needed rest. My journey to and care to maintain my 20/20 vision is a story for the ages, but soooo glad to be in such excellent care. Dr. May is the absolute best in being forthright, having patience, giving thorough exams and explanations. He exudes kindness. Beverly Hills or the Santa Monica office, care at either office top notch. It has been 26 years since I first met Dr. Assil and about 16 under their care. One of the best decisions I EVER made. I am blessed and thankful for Dr. May and Dr. Assil.

Prescription was not called in by the doctor Lindsey, then when I called Assist office for the prescription no body called back. finally got the prescription drops 6 days later. I requested appointment with Dr Natalie S for next monday.

I had an upper blepharoplasty with Dr. Adele, and the results have wildly exceeded my expectations. She took her time and approached everything with such precision and attention to detail. Such a professional and warm team from the receptionist to medical staff! Even the financial team is great! I only wish I had had my first cataract surgery with the Assil team!
