These folks are simply the best. Dr. Gaur is tops in her field anywhere with glaucoma (she's fixed both of my eyes) and Dr. Pilyugina removed a membrane inside an eye that restored my focus and clarity. Together they diagnosed the problems immediately and corrected them swiftly. They and the entire staff have terrific bedside manners. One more thing: Dr. Assil personally took an interest in a vision-threatening problem suffered by one of my sister-in-laws. Her doctors had told her there was nothing more they could do to restore her vision. Dr. Assil saw that as a challenge and dove into the problem. After a few months, she regained full use of the eye.

I was diagnosed with a Conjunctival nevus "Freckle" in both of my eyes by my local optometrist. The optometrist explained it was benign with the potential to become melanoma. Also, I did not aesthetically like the pigment in my eyes. I desired surgery for nevi removal but there were no physicians in the DMV area that specialize in this procedure. I was fortunate to find Assil Gaur Eye Institute via YouTube/ Google.

Nico was my initial point of contact at Assil EI. Nico is very kind, professional and has an art for customer service. He explained the consultation, potential pricing and how the process works for traveling clients.

The appointment times were scheduled and I was greeted by a friendly staff. Seamless process from start to finish. The procedure was less than an hour.

If you travel solo and using ride apps (Uber/Lyft) , I would highly recommend staying in office post procedure until your eyes are not as blurry from the medication. I did not anticipate this and I had to return back to the office after picking up my prescription, so I could safely book a ride back to my hotel.

Thank you once again to Dr. Assil, Nico, Front office staff, Carlos (*thanks for playing Ampiano), Diana (*Javier is on my next visit), Shirley and to the other staff members I did not mention by name.

Dr Assil and his staff are first rate! I have found them to be attentive, kind, knowledgable, going above and beyond to help patients experience optimal vision! Dr. Harris has shown tenacity to find solutions that worked for me. She listened and persisted until my vision was all she had hope it could be for me. I drive an hour to get to their office - so worth it! Highly recommend!

Dr. Assil and staff were very thorough with their testing and they explained to me every step of how Lasik works. Very professional and efficient. The EAGLE VISION procedure is incredible and I went from -6 coke bottle lenses to better than 20/20 in just a few minutes. Highly recommend it if you qualify!

Front staff were fantastic and made things easy such as appointments.

Big shout out to Angel, she did most of the initial and post testing. She was very friendly and professional.

Assil Gaur Eye Institute is the pinnacle of expertise, quality of care and quality of service. No other medical facility of any type can compare. It is truly a unique experience in every way. Dr. Assil and his ENTIRE STAFF all work together with total focus on the patient. There are many celebrities that have received care from Assil Gaur Eye Institute, But EVERY PATIENT is treated like a VIP by Dr. Assil and his Staff. There is never a rush and every question is fully answered. They are the best.

Dr. P and the people at Assil Gaur Eye Institute are top notch. I was being treated for a retinal issue that required injections directly into my left eye. I received Eagle Vision LASIK from Dr. Assil.

I was extremely impressed by the professionalism and service that him and his team offer. I wore glasses and contacts for a little over 10 years and received this procedure at the age of 23. Now I get to show off my blue eyes and get to fall asleep without worrying about removing my contacts. It was worth every dollar. I wouldn’t trust any other doctor than Dr. Assil. He doesn’t just do LASIK. He performs many other surgeries. He is extremely talented and knowledgeable.

As a nurse I work 12-hour shifts back-to-back. I am able to wake up in the morning and quickly get ready. I don’t get fog in my glasses anymore, or worry my contact will pop out while I’m cycling ( it’s happened). As a soon to be mother as well, I’m excited for the new memories with my perfect vision. I’m excited to see my baby’s face and be able not worry about glasses.

The only side effect I have form my surgery is dry eyes (which is common). I listened to Dr. Assil and I continue to buy preservative-free hydrating eye drops. I buy the single doses for cleanliness.

I was truly impressed with the depth and breadth of the examination of my vision. I expected a few simple tests and a consultation. Instead, every part of my eye was mapped and evaluated, and I feel extremely confident that the surgery (should the retinal specialist sign off after my upcoming ultrasound) will provide the best possible outcome.

Dr. Assil's vast knowledge and expertise created a calmness for me and a confidence that my surgery would go very well, which was so important as I was very nervous.
