I thought I had left a review a 1.5 yr ago. Regardless, Dr Assil is a god or has the hands of a god!!! I had PRK about 15yrs ago in New York. I went for the consultation and Dr. Assil told me he would only do surgery on one eye (best option for my health). He could have done what the Dr in New York did (take my $$ and not look out for my health) nothing compared to the surgery 15yrs ago. My night vision even only having one eye operated is crystal clear, day vision I can see miles away. I’m so happy I went to Dr Assil. The level of care also gave me peace of mind. He wanted to see me almost every day post surgery which not many drs do.

Dr Pilyugina was wonderful. I couldn't have asked for better care. She was kind and thorough. Also Caesar did a great job. I have only the highest praise for them.
My complaint has nothing to do with the workers. The facility is obviously short staffed and wait times to be seen are much too long.

All the personnel I've met from walking in the door, to all the doctors I've encountered in the office, to doctor Assil himself, were all outstanding! Very warm, friendly, professional, accommodating, and many more positive things. Dr. Assil is really a master of his craft! If this was a store, I'd keep coming back..and I live on the other side of the coast and I'll still fly back! Thanks guys!!

All alone at the top of a long list of great doctors offices so far.

Assil Eye was the ONLY practice that was even willing to consider truly optimizing my vision with the possibility of using Eagle Eyes LASIK post-IOL surgery to fix my Cataracts.
Sure, the very best IOL surgeons and surgeries will not require any further optimization after IOL placement, but there are many of us that have need of truly exceptional vision! I regularly use the 60" and 100" telescopes on Mount Wilson, so the extra extremely fine refinement offered by Assil is definitely worth it for me!
Not only is this offered at Assil, it is well understood that they offer it as a regular premium plan option! No other "Top Doctors" would even consider it. Obviously I am well versed in optics and the optics of a huge telescope are not substantially different from the eye. Different, yes, but Dr. Kerry Assil and I had a brilliant conversation about it all and I'm confident in our choices.
No other doctor would take the time to discuss the physics of light to resolve my concerns and desired outcome.
Scientists, Sports Superstars, Sailors, Pilots and other surgeons will be very pleased with Dr. Assil.

I had my LASIK eye surgery at Assil Eye Institute about 3 weeks ago. I was super nervous as my prescription was quite high (minus 7), but the Doctors and staff here made me feel more comfortable and at ease by being very thorough from the initial consult, to the surgery day prep, to my post-op care and answered all my questions. My vision is still slowly recovering, but I'm grateful that I have the whole staff at Assil Eye Institute by my side as I'm going through this life-changing process. Thank you Dr. Adeleh, Dr. Assil, Dr. Harris, Carlos, Diane and everyone else!

I find the staff and the doctors superb and feel that they communicate extremely well, show genuine concern for the patient, and generally are very warm.
My only small concern is that sometimes lengthy wait past the scheduled appointment time before things get started, and the feeling that some of the technicians and doctors are very rushed, although they do their best not to show it.
(I had cataract surgery in both eyes, and that was the experience upon which this review is based).

It’s been two years and it’s truly the life changing decision. Dr Assil has amazing bed side manner. His team is very attentive and trust worthy. I was in the operating room for under 30 minutes and the surgery felt less than 5 minutes. I started to watch projector screen the next day and I have never had dry eye in the past two years like I used to because of wearing contacts. I wore glasses and contact lenses for over 15 years. I received Eagle Lasik and I have thick cornea. They said I could get another Lasik when I’m older if I need to, for long sight.

I recommend all my friends to get Lasik from Assil because it’s really the best in the country.
