I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Natalie and her assistant Tera. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at ease. The office was clean, organized, and had a calm, professional atmosphere. Tera greeted me warmly and guided me through the initial steps with efficiency and a genuine friendliness that immediately put me at ease. She was attentive to every detail and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. Dr. Natalie was equally impressive. She is not only incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, but she also has a calm, caring demeanor that made me feel confident I was in good hands. Great service, everyone was super friendly. I was originally really nervous about getting Lasik but both Dr. Assil, Dr. Natalie S, and the rest of the staff did an amazing job explaining any questions I had and reassuring me. Only 2 complaints I have is that I had to wait a while after checking in and the fact that they don’t have a closer location to my house (however, the drive was very worth it). 10/10 would recommend it.

I highly recommend Assil Gaur Eye Institute of Los Angeles! After researching several LASIK centers, I chose them for their professionalism and the confidence they inspired. Dr. Gaur performed my LASIK and PRK surgeries, and her entire team was fantastic—patiently answering all my questions and making the entire process smooth and stress-free. It has truly been a life-changing experience! On a side note, even LeBron James went here (you can spot his photos and signed jersey on the walls). While his shooting percentage may have dipped in recent years, that’s probably more about the Lakers over-relying on an aging superstar than anything vision-related! Hopefully, with the addition of Luka Dončić, that’ll change for the Lakers, and honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Dončić visit here in the future, as this is undoubtedly one of the best if not the best eye-correction centers in LA.

I'm very thankful for the way my eyes turned out. Still have somewhat blurry vision at times but I've been told that that will clear up after a while. I had cataract surgery with Dr. Gaur and her team and I couldn't have been happier with the results. Everything was explained well from the beginning through the entire process and follow up. There were no surprises. In addition, I had an additional procedure in hopes of preventing glaucoma. And 9 months after my eye pressure is perfect. So it seems to have been helpful based on my eye pressure prior to the procedure. Dr Gaur has worked in conjunction with my current optomitrist so procedures aren't duplicated. I still wear progressive glasses for work for reading fine print but my distance vision is 20/20 and no bluriness. I would highly recommend Dr. Gaur to family and friends if they needed her expertise.

I previously told Dr. Adele how pleased I was with the spectacular effect of the polishing of my right intraocular lens. This procedure was done early in January in the Beverly Hills office. At my recent follow-up visit in the Santa Monica office, Dr. Adele addressed the problem of cloudy vision in my left eye. She took a quick look, and, despite the drops I had been using once a day, pronounced "dry eye"--in both eyes. She recommended a regimen of non-preservative drops to be used four times a day (more often if needed), plus hot compresses a couple of times a day with a microwave-heated mask. I'm happy to report this therapy is working: (1) cloudy vision and "funny feeling" in my left eye much improved, (2) no more waking up with the sense of a grain of sand stuck in my left eye, (3) no more burning sensation when reading or working at a computer. I'm grateful to Dr. Adele, and also to Dr. P, Dr. May, Aaron (with his technical expertise) and all their colleagues at Assil-Gaur for helping old-timers like me to preserve the precious gift of sight.

After my first eye cataract replacement, I had an infrequent surgical complication (high ocular pressure) and ALL the staff was amazing in helping me over the several days post-surgery! I cannot say enough about how absolutely wonderful everyone was. They "held my hand" (so to speak) to make sure that I had everything I needed, and answered all my questions. They changed up my eye drop regime to bring the issue under control. It is now 6 days since this procedure and I am happy to report my eye is feeling normal. I'm excited to get the second eye done this coming week. Since we now know that I'm sensitive in this area, they've put some additional safeguards in place to minimize any similar reaction. Dr. Lindsay Harris is a true gift to the world and I am so very thankful for how she has helped me and my vision when nobody else has in the last 20 years. I have always had what I have been told to be 20/20 vision. Despite the blurry vision and headaches I would get daily.. I have been told on a yearly basis by various optometrists that my vision was “perfect.” I would complain to them about my blurry tired eyes, I would explain the headaches I would get regularly, and every year at my yearly eye check up, every optometrist always told me that it must be because I am “on my phone too much” and to stop screen time and it will fix the issue. It never fixed the issue. Then a few months ago I was lucky enough to get connected with Dr. Lindsay Harris, and within the first ten minutes of my appointment, she was able to diagnose me with two conditions, one that could have potentially made me go blind, and the other condition that with the proper prescription, completely changed my vision. I travelled all the way from Canada to get a conjunctival nevus removed, as well as to try the autologous serum eye drop treatment and it was honestly one of the best decisions I have made. This was something I wanted to do for a long time and I am so happy with the result. I am extremely grateful that in one afternoon, I was able to have a consult with Dr. Isaiah and I check out and meet with the surgeon who will perform my surgery as well as getting all the insurance squared away before I flew back to New York. All alone at the top of a long list of great doctors offices so far. Assil Eye was the ONLY practice that was even willing to consider truly optimizing my vision with the possibility of using Eagle Eyes LASIK post-IOL surgery to fix my Cataracts. Sure, the very best IOL surgeons and surgeries will not require any further optimization after IOL placement, but there are many of us that have need of truly exceptional vision! I regularly use the 60" and 100" telescopes on Mount Wilson, so the extra extremely fine refinement offered by Assil is definitely worth it for me! Not only is this offered at Assil, it is well understood that they offer it as a regular premium plan option! No other "Top Doctors" would even consider it. Obviously I am well versed in optics and the optics of a huge telescope are not substantially different from the eye. Different, yes, but Dr. Kerry Assil and I had a brilliant conversation about it all and I'm confident in our choices. No other doctor would take the time to discuss the physics of light to resolve my concerns and desired outcome. Scientists, Sports Superstars, Sailors, Pilots and other surgeons will be very pleased with Dr. Assil.

I find the staff and the doctors superb and feel that they communicate extremely well, show genuine concern for the patient, and generally are very warm. My only small concern is that sometimes lengthy wait past the scheduled appointment time before things get started, and the feeling that some of the technicians and doctors are very rushed, although they do their best not to show it. (I had cataract surgery in both eyes, and that was the experience upon which this review is based).

It’s been two years and it’s truly the life changing decision. Dr Assil has amazing bed side manner. His team is very attentive and trust worthy. I was in the operating room for under 30 minutes and the surgery felt less than 5 minutes. I started to watch projector screen the next day and I have never had dry eye in the past two years like I used to because of wearing contacts. I wore glasses and contact lenses for over 15 years. I received Eagle Lasik and I have thick cornea. They said I could get another Lasik when I’m older if I need to, for long sight. I recommend all my friends to get Lasik from Assil because it’s really the best in the country.

I was diagnosed with a Conjunctival nevus "Freckle" in both of my eyes by my local optometrist. The optometrist explained it was benign with the potential to become melanoma. Also, I did not aesthetically like the pigment in my eyes. I desired surgery for nevi removal but there were no physicians in the DMV area that specialize in this procedure. I was fortunate to find Assil Gaur Eye Institute via YouTube/ Google. Nico was my initial point of contact at Assil EI. Nico is very kind, professional and has an art for customer service. He explained the consultation, potential pricing and how the process works for traveling clients. The appointment times were scheduled and I was greeted by a friendly staff. Seamless process from start to finish. The procedure was less than an hour. If you travel solo and using ride apps (Uber/Lyft) , I would highly recommend staying in office post procedure until your eyes are not as blurry from the medication. I did not anticipate this and I had to return back to the office after picking up my prescription, so I could safely book a ride back to my hotel. I received Eagle Vision LASIK from Dr. Assil. I was extremely impressed by the professionalism and service that him and his team offer. I wore glasses and contacts for a little over 10 years and received this procedure at the age of 23. Now I get to show off my blue eyes and get to fall asleep without worrying about removing my contacts. It was worth every dollar. I wouldn’t trust any other doctor than Dr. Assil. He doesn’t just do LASIK. He performs many other surgeries. He is extremely talented and knowledgeable. As a nurse I work 12-hour shifts back-to-back. I am able to wake up in the morning and quickly get ready. I don’t get fog in my glasses anymore, or worry my contact will pop out while I’m cycling ( it’s happened). I came here for lasik and had an amazing experience. Dr. Sodhi Gaur Took great care of my me and explained every step of the process to me. It can feel overwhelming with all of the eye exams but Dr.Gaur keeps you informed about everything which is really helpful. The entire staff was very helpful and kind. The surgery itself was short (around 10-15 mins) but the machine that prevents your eyes from blinking can feel painful due to pressure of the suction. Aside from that, the surgery is straight forward and quick. I received thorough instructions on my post op care. The staff actually care about their patients and you feel well taken care of. Going through with lasik is a scary process, but Assil Eye institute goes above and beyond in making it a seamless experience.

I don't know how they decide which doctor is going to work with you but.......there could not have been a better doctor for me than Dr. Gaur. Aaron was my first contact. He did all my preliminary tests. He is wonderful. At the end of the visit I told him I was going to go to two other practices to compare. Dr. Assil is my hero! He saved me after complications from a Lasik procedure in which one of my eyes developed "epithelial ingrowth", meaning sudden cell growth started to block my vision, which my original eye surgeon informed me might lead to needing a corneal transplant. Scary stuff. A friend, another eye surgeon (at Kaiser), recommended that I immediately seek out a second opinion from Dr. Assil. As soon as I walked into his office, I knew I was in good hands. My surgery went well. Dr. Assil is a very competent Dr. My suggestion for the future is that all personnel need to greet the patient with a smile,, introduce themselves at all times and tell the patient the reason that they are seeing the patient on that day.

Dr. Zokaeim prescribed the correct product to reduce swelling in a bad, stubborn stye/chalazion under my upper lid. With the RX the bump finally drained and over time the blurred vision in that eye has improved. She was very knowledgeable and helpful.

All of the employees from the front people to all the way to the doctors are super polite and kind. They treated me like I was a celebrity. Dr. Assil and the Assil Institute is where you go with any eye concern. I would and have recommended him to friends. It is an impressive facility. I and my son have had very successful surgeries performed by Dr. Assil. I also went straight to Dr. Assil when I contracted shingles in my eye. He saw me every day until my eye was safe from damage. I have also had many follow up visits for this condition. I am also under the care of Dr. P. I have a slight retina condition that she monitors with extensive technology and expert care a few times a year. She is wonderful. There is nowhere else you should go for anything you need taken care of for your precious eyes!

Dr. Assil told me how he became interested in becoming an eye surgeon. When he was studying to become a doctor, he saw a little boy who had had eye surgery, for a very serious eye condition. When the bandages were taken off, the little boy was so happy to be able to see the clock, and his surroundings, he touched everything. Dr. Assil, who witnessed this joy, thought That's what I want to do. When my cataracts were removed by Dr. Assil, I thought Well, God Bless YOU. I now have 20-40 vision, instead of partial blindness. He is amazing, and on a scale of one to ten, "ten" being the best. He is a ten. Nothing to fear in his hands.

I was introduced to the Assil Gaur Eye Institute by a chance encounter at the IDEA World Fitness and Nutrition Expo. The idea of not wearing contacts was intriguing so I thought I would give it a try and have an examination, since my eyesight had been deteriorating over the past few years. The results of the examination revealed that I had cataracts in both eyes. Dr. Assil said that I was a good candidate for multifocal implants. I had the surgery. It was quick and easy. The staff was professional and courteous. My eyesight is now perfect! Both distant AND near. I see again as I did when I was a young man. I have never been in such a large place, for eye care. I took my father for a consult. I always heard of it at the Kings games, since they take care of them and the Lakers, among many others. The office itself is enormous!! Takes up the whole 3rd floor. It is very beautifully decorated from fine art to Lakers and Kings championship items. The staff, including all the techs, optometrists and Dr Assil himself, are kind, patient and just top notch. If you need extensive eye care this is the place!!!!

It is with ease and pleasure I write my experience and “review” of ASSIL EYE INSTITUTE. I first met Dr. Assil over 10 years ago. I believe that is the first time he saved my eyesight. And so it began…. My first corneal transplant. The discovery of Glaucoma – Another transplant in other eye – Painful fungus infection - An accident that would have left me blind – if – it had not been for the skill, knowledge and extraordinary attention I received. His staff has at times become family. The warmth, humor and knowledge I was provided through all the many surgeries procedures and discoveries have all contributed to my sense of safety when I walk through the doors of the ASSIL EYE INSTITUTE.

Excellent experience. Kerry Assil is on the cutting edge of eye technology. He has surrounded himself with very capable and patient friendly doctors and technicians. Early on he told me that they do not grade themselves on how many good reviews they get, but lnstead focus on doing everything possible to ensure they do not have any disappointed patients. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Its has been about 10 years since I made one of the best decision of my life, which was getting lasik done by Dr. ASSIL. I had thought about for a while before but I was nervous and scared but had finally become so tired of contacts and all that goes along with them, that I finally decided I would just go to a lasik seminar and check it out. I didn't know Dr Assil at the time but I was able to ask him direct questions and he made me feel so comfortable, so I booked my appointment that day to came in for a consult and didn't look back. I can still remember sitting in the exam room after surgery and he came into the room, checked me out and said congratulations you have new eyes and I looked around and things were already clearer. After that my recovery was quick and easy, I even headed up to YMCA summer camp in Big Bear a few weeks later and had no issues and have not had any issues since. What prompted me to witre this is I actually just got my eyes checked and I am still 20/20. After all these years, thanks Dr Assil, you're the best!

My eye doctor told me I was eligibly for Lasik eye surgery, but they didn't do the surgery. They referred me to Assil Gaur Eye Institute. I was so scared to go through the surgery, having something come towards my eye while I sat there and watched it. Dr. Assil made sure that I had all my questions answered before anything was done. I am glad that I went with Dr. Assil Gaur Eye Institute!

I'm very glad that I had my eye surgery done with Dr. Assil. I did extensive research into other ophthalmologists including getting several consultations. I actually spent a year researching out various doctors in the greater LA area. I have a very high prescription and I was told that my cornea was too thin, thus lasik was not an option for me. Dr. Assil gave me the option of Epi-Lasik. They did a number of tests with my eyes and then I was at the office for a couple of hours for the procedure itself. I've since had multiple follow up visits to ensure I'm healing well (which I am). You can tell from the moment you walk into the office that it is the best of the best, completely professional. Another thing that stands out about Dr. Assil's office is they have a stellar staff. You can tell that they take pride in their work and they are very caring. Dr. Assil himself is arguably the best eye doctor in the country. My operation, although more complex than lasik, was the same cost. The price is only slightly higher than in other places, but it's worth it. I would highly recommend Dr. Assil to others (and in fact, I have a friend coming in shortly to get eye surgery).

I had a eye surgery 3 years ago. Doctor Assil put an implant on my right eye. It was a very difficult decision I had to make, my vision was in the hand of the surgeon and his team. After several meetings and explanations, I decided to trust them and to go ahead with the surgery. I was impressed with the professionalism of everyone, kindness, patience. I was treated like the most important patient... they really try to prepare you as much as they can for the surgery, you feel secure, in good hands, everything and everyone is organized , know what they have to do. Doctor Assil changed my life! He is the most kind doctor I ever meet and the best surgeon . The surgery was a success! My vision is perfect and even better that before ( wearing lenses), I can now drive by night. I was able to go back playing sport, swimming etc.. no more glasses or lenses. Extraordinary! It is a new life for me. Doctor Assil is very busy but answer to all my questions , knowing that English is not my first language he didn’t mind explaining several times. I thank all the people working around Doctor Assil. I recommend this office without any doubts.

My experience at the surgery center, for each eye, was painless and stress free... the surgery center staff were all great! First time I've ever had surgery and can say it was fun! Dr. Assil did my Lasik 21 years ago: that procedure changed my life, and now having the IOL multi lens surgery in each eye: . another life changing procedure. I can't possibly recommend Dr. Assil any more highly than I do, he's a remarkable surgeon.. The only one I'd ever trust with my eyes.. I now have several friends who plan on having Dr. Assil do this same surgery on their eyes, when they're ready. I'm 60+ and have an eye disease since about 10 years old and after several corneal transplants over the years still needed contacts, glasses and or both to see and was still diagnosis legally blind. Then I met Dr Assil and his team a few years ago who really fixed my cornea's! my vision was so good for the first time in my life it felt like a rebirth. I HAD NEVER SEEN THAT WELL IN MY WHOLE LIFE AND WITHOUT GLASSES OR CONTACTS. I will be forever grateful for his knowledge, compassion and god's gift.

On my last visit, to check my eyes concerning the procedure that I had had two weeks prior, I waited 45 minutes to be taken to a room. I was given various “tests”. A second person almost gave me the same test the first person gave me —until I said something. Were they trying to stretch the time because the doctor wasn’t ready for me? When the doctor finally came in, he saw me for less than 3 minutes. I left almost 2 hours after I arrived. I would have been satisfied after the first person (or second) “tested” me and said I was doing fine, and I don’t care if the doctor doesn’t need spend any time with me. I don’t think of myself as a complainer, but I feel like my time was wasted and it threw off the rest of my day.

From the moment I got off the elevator I had a very positive experience. The two nice ladies that work the front greeted me and they even remembered me when I returned subsequent times. The technician/nurse and sales director even remembered me 2 years after my first visit. Everyone was engaging and explained everything very well to me. Bonus, I recently renewed my license recently and had them remove the 'needs corrective lenses' restriction! thanks Dr. Gaur and team.

Dr. Harris is very professional and explains everything to you. She never tries to pressure you into anything. If something is working for you she doesn't try to get you to spend $$$ on some new procedure that might not do anything more for you. I appreciate this in her. She is a great doctor.
