    I'm very glad that I had my eye surgery done with Dr. Assil. I did extensive research into other ophthalmologists including getting several consultations. I actually spent a year researching out various doctors in the greater LA area. I have a very high prescription and I was told that my cornea was too thin, thus lasik was not an option for me. Dr. Assil gave me the option of Epi-Lasik. They did a number of tests with my eyes and then I was at the office for a couple of hours for the procedure itself. I've since had multiple follow up visits to ensure I'm healing well (which I am). You can tell from the moment you walk into the office that it is the best of the best, completely professional. Another thing that stands out about Dr. Assil's office is they have a stellar staff. You can tell that they take pride in their work and they are very caring. Dr. Assil himself is arguably the best eye doctor in the country. My operation, although more complex than lasik, was the same cost. The price is only slightly higher than in other places, but it's worth it. I would highly recommend Dr. Assil to others (and in fact, I have a friend coming in shortly to get eye surgery).

    Dr Assil performed my lasik procedures 20 years ago and now i'm having him do my cataract surgery with the upgrade for perfect vision again both near and up close it's a great clinic.. probably the best for all eye issues

    I’m from Louisiana. I was first treated by Dr. Assil in November 2006. His staff located my records after all this time so that there were there for the doctor to review when I returned for a consult. Dr. Assil considered the options and went over these with me. He’s an excellent communicator and surgeon. His staff takes their cue from the top and they are all equally friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and as amazing as Dr Assil himself.
