Eye Exam – Los Angeles
Assil Eye Institute has designed a comprehensive eye care center that provides extensive health checks of the eyes. In order to maintain your visual needs and to keep your eyes healthy, we recommend that you have a routine eye exam once a year. For certain age groups it may be alright to have an exam every two years; however, if you are a senior or have certain illnesses, it is a good idea to be checked every six to twelve months.
Our doctors have discovered many diseases in the body just by examining the eyes. The most common, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and even brain tumors and cancers in the body have been discovered even before any symptoms have occurred. Our highly skilled doctors will be able to discuss with you their recommendations for annual or bi annual examinations are right for you.
At this exam, our specialized team will use drops to dilate your pupils so our experts can see into your retina, evaluating you for any eye diseases or disorders. Family history plays a lot into your overall eye health. For this reason, we will establish baselines to monitor at your subsequent visits. If further testing is required, you may chose to have those tests done the same day or come back at a different date. If you experience any changes in your vision between regularly scheduled visits with your eye specialist, you should schedule an appointment at Assil Eye Institute as soon as possible. Early detection of problems and treatment of problems can be the key to preventing loss of vision.
